Thoughtful Therapeutic Tissue Massage:
A professional therapeutic massage focus's on the deeper layers of muscle tissue/fascia aiding the release of chronic tension patterns in the body. Your session is individualized for your needs by applying slow Swedish style strokes; trigger point work; Chinese tappotment; stretching; cross fiber friction as well as active and passive muscle release techniques. Depending on your need(s), specialized techniques, such as cupping, gua shaw, and adding weighted tools can be utilized.
The feet have 7000+ nerve endings. Reflexology stimulates those nerve endings to affect your muscles, organs and glands aspiring to bring your body to homeostasis or balance. Although reflexology is traditionally a nerve stimulus technique with light pressure, I use as deeper pressure with mobilizations as we all have tired feet.
I have a wonderful and a little bit uncomfortable technique to really help planters fasciitis. I use an active muscle release technique, putting the muscles on stretch as I massage the area. Also, I like to give stretches for homework and talk about good foot wear to support the arch. I recommend “When the Shoe Fits” as a great store to help you.
